Our office is pretty small and tight knit,
and design interns work closely with me to create infographics and other
projects. I like to let them pitch projects they want to work on, so
they’re motivated, but in a direction that helps them build specific
design skills. Every other week I also do design challenges with my
interns, from chalkboard lettering to branding a small business or
building a simple parallax site. I also work with them towards the end
of the internship to help them apply for jobs and/or more internships.
